Knossos

The pictures below are from Knossos. There are a lot of them but you should be able to start and stop the slide show if you want to. It was really neat to get to see this place. When ever anyone talks about going to Greece they talk about seeing the Minoan ruins, they are all over the island but Knossos is one of the few places where you can still see paintings and parts of buildings. We got there early in the morning so we were the only people for a while, which meant that we got to take our time and really look around. It is very interesting, we hope that you all like the pictures!

Knossos

Hotel

Iraklion

Hey everyone! We went on a trip to Knossos which is where the ruins of the the Minoan Palace are. We stayed in Iraklion, which is about two hours from where we live. The slide show below is from the harbor in Iraklion. The Venetian Fort is here. We walked along the old harbor and around downtown next to our hotel. Everything comes alive at night. There was all sorts of fresh food stands and little stands with everything you could want in them. The pictures above are of our hotel. The bathroom was really really small and there was no shower curtain so we kind of flooded the bathroom. The elevators were also very small, no more than two people can fit in them at a time, and if you have a lot of luggage then forget about it!

Our Christmas Party!!

DOGS!

These are two of the dogs that have been adopted from the harbor. The white and brown one is Fidel, he lives with us, and the black and white one is BAMF and she lives down the street but comes to visit a lot. There are a lot of stray dogs down here and when ever one shows up at the harbor it gets named (by the harbor guys) and usually adopted.

Flying Santa

This is a video of our flying Santa. It was a lot of fun to have for the holiday season. I didn't have to worry about hitting my head on it because I am so short but Shawn almost hit it every time he walked into the living room!
